About Matt Lyon
Extensive Range of Experience
I bring a broad legal experience to this position having practiced criminal law, family law, and juvenile law. I have been a member of the Oregon State Bar for over 20 years. For the last 10 years I have lived in and practiced law in Tillamook County, where I have handled over 2,000 cases. I have served as a Justice of the Peace Pro Tem in the Tillamook County Justice Court since 2020.

As a father of two school-aged daughters, I am deeply invested in our community and its future. Through my practice in Family and Juvenile Law, I have seen firsthand the profound impact a judge’s decisions can have on children and families.
I believe that every person who comes before the Court deserves its full attention, thoughtful consideration, and equal treatment under the law. If elected, I will bring insight, compassion, and fair application of the law to the cases that come before me.
